For the first time in 15 years I am beginning to question my choice of placement in a corner of the greenhouse for this palm

Gina - They certainly like to take up a wide space. It can remain there for many more years, just crowded. I have one growing under a large mango tree that getting really wide too.

Thanks for your input. I have noticed that a lot of the palms that I planted in the ground in my greenhouse are starting to really 'take off' after 15+years. I have a few hitting the ceiling (scary) and some just getting, well, BIG. But I love them all and will continue to care for them all. I have a Marojejya insignis that I bought as a M. daranii... it is OLD but just now really hitting a stride...I had a chance at a Darian palm and am glad I passed it by,,,if the Insignis grows to fulfill its 'destiny' I would have no room for the Darian palm

How sad. I wonder what did it?

I am working on germinating some of these. Seeds are interesting.

Anyone have luck germinating them. I couldn't find much except that Riffle groups them with Corypha.

I like vermiculite as a germination medium. It stays moist but I've had some succes with it. I have these in deep community puts, half submerged, in a warm 80-95 humid (I will soon find means of measuring this) room out of the sun. Any experiences or tips most appreciated.
