Noticed this queen in my yard that has a sort of double inflorescence, it looks like one spear shot right through the other. I’m sure it’s happened before, I’ve just never seen it

Matt, I am going to be honest here. I understand what you are saying, but I just can't see it in the pics.

It may become more obvious later.

Sorry, this might show it better, you can see the spear has pushed through the inside of another spear
