King Palm not doing well

Hello,

My King Palm is not doing well. It was in a pot when the fronds started looking like this. Several fronds went brown completely and I figured maybe the palm wanted to be in the ground. At that time I was watering it a few times a week, maybe even every other day or so. Then I put it in the ground, and things have gotten worse. Look at the photos. Those same dead fronds are there, but now other fronds have brown tips. I have been watering it about every other day or every two days. Maybe I'm overwatering it? I dug down into the soil a bit and the soil still feels damp (watered it a couple days ago). I went by home depot where I bought it and checked out their king palms (which look better than mine) and the soil was bone dry. This makes me think I'm overwatering. Any thoughts?

Hi  Stan,

Your pictures are not showing up correctly when I viewed this thread and I'm guessing that is why you have not received any replies.

Perhaps you can try to upload them again?

I was able to copy the url out of the reference and it looks like the brown fronds are the oldest and maybe next oldest are the ones with browning tips (second and third pics can't really tell where the browned tips are in relation to the oldest growth)

This may be just normal dying off of the oldest fronds if the newest growth looks healthy.
