A little Sat afternoon hill climb through R. Sapida habitat

Had never done this track before up the small but sacred Mt Taupiri. No shortage of R.  Sapida, almost dominant despite the steep terrain and firm clay soil.

Thanks for posting. I’m always interested in Rhopalostylis habitat shots.

Doing well in firm clay. I have that sort of soil here in places, where it’s not peat. Very good to know.

What are the buttressed root trees growing there. I just love that rainforest buttress root look and would love to imitate it here.

Millbrook, "Kinjarling" Noongar word meaning "Place of Rain", Rainbow Coast, Western Australia 35S. Warm temperate. Csb Koeppen Climate classification. Cool nights all year round.
