Great looking  palm Dave. My old man lost  a fight with a gopher he lost 95% of his roots .still holding onto 1frond and 1 good spear 2 months later.He will be planted in a wire cage next time if he pulls through.

Here is one in 9a San Antonio with about 3 feet of clear (hairy) trunk.  It's "jungle planted" in a courtyard microclimate on the south side of a building at the Oblate School of Theology.  Hard to get a good shot of it where it's situated next to a wall on one side and an ornamental pond a few feet on the other.  It has made a nice recovery from the 19°F freeze from Jan. 2018 but not sure how cold this one actually experienced.  It's holding around 10 leaves now and did not look very good just 6 months ago but looking happier today!

Picked this one up at Lowes in Port Orange a couple years ago......
