Anyone know what’s happening to the tips of my Kerriodoxa?  Even the new shoots turn brown.  I will be replanting this from the pot to the ground soon.

Did it miss a watering? they hate to dry out. Past that maybe it's just time to get out of the pot. I have 2 that have been in the ground for several year. Very slow for me.

Let us know when you have seeds of that or know of a good source of any seeds of that.

Brown tips means too dry, but dryness can result from poor water absorption, mostly from low soil content of water. Seems like a delicate balance that is hard to avoid.  Generally agree with above.

Mine do that regardless of how wet the soil is kept. I don’t think they like too much calcium in the tap water. It can burn leaf tips on sensitive palms.

There could be many reasons for browning tips, but Kerriodoxa seems to be one of those palms that has a rather short pot life and does so much better in the ground. They can be such spectacular plants, and like most large palms if your climate allows, a potted specimen hardly resembles one thriving in ground. Plant those puppies.

The problem with brown tips can also be due to salt accumulation at the bottom of the pot, or due to root rot due to poor drainage at the bottom of the pot...
