I had a couple of hundred Veitchia arecina seed that I didn't know what to do with... So I just removed as much fruit as I could and let them soak in water... How long?... At least a couple of months... I would change out the water every few days...Yesterday I rinsed them,  and gave them a short peroxide bath.... Then crowded them in to a couple of Tupper Ware boxes with some damp moss.... They looked healthy and none were "floaters"... Do you think I killed them in that long soak?... I really don't have any place for these, even if they survive, but I just hated throwing them out.... I even have quite a few plants popping up around the mother, so these seem to be very viable seeds... I guess I'll see if anything pops up...

Monitor them for mold, but my bet would be that they'll sprout under their typical germinating conditions.
