Common but drought tolerant, heat tolerant, and cold tolerant while producing edible fruit.

Can’t go wrong there. I planted 2 myself this year.

I haven’t had it myself. I can only go off what I’ve read here on PalmTalk and online.  But this year I wanted to add some edible palms so put in 2 Butia and a Euterpe Eudilis.

It's a unique sweet and tart flavor - most similar to a pineapple in my opinion - a very rich flavor, and full of sugar. If you fail to pick them, the sugars will cause them to ferment while still on the tree. You can smell a ripe bunch from several feet away with how fragrant the fruit is when ripe.
