Season end garden pics- doubravsky

Thought I’d take a few pics before the Santa Ana’s come and mess stuff up. It’s been a good year for the garden (with some heat damage excepted)

- the container area waiting their turn for next year:

@OC2Texaspalmlvr thanks! That Caryota was planted in 2003- so 17 years in the ground from a 24” box.

I’m starting to think about when it flowers now....

Definitely sounds like you got your moneys worth. 17 years seem to be a great run and your placement seems like should be the easiest to delete one day. The backyard looks like a lovely place to relax, nice growing :greenthumb:

@James760 thanks! In fact, it's only a quarter acre lot.... pretty near pushing maximum density :)

@Chris Chance Chris you're right down the road from me... stop by some time!

I think we can plan on a day. Are you free on weekdays or weekends?

Great garden. Such a different type of setting then in FL where everything is covered in mold and mildew this time of year,

I love the palms overhanging the pathways!  I've started doing this on my lot, but most of mine are currently in the blocking-the-path and poking-me-in-the-eye height, so they are somewhat annoying.  Hopefully next year they'll be tall enough for me to trim the lower fronds and get a nice archway growing!

@Merlyn2220I get it! Mine were like that for quite a while....  I would trim a little  more than I should to keep it cleaner. No not so much an issue :)
