I’ve had these Beccariophoenix Alfredii growing in Modesto for a couple years now and they seem to be doing well!

Those look great Jeff! Mine (from Perry in Grover Beach) is doing great also. And the 15-gal you gave me a few years ago is doing great also.

I wont say it, mine is too big to be that close to your house, its 25' tall and 25' wide about like a bismarckia in the space it occupies.  In the desert the growth habit could be quite different.  In oak shade here they are ~ 1/2 size in trunk thickness and number of leaves in the crown.  In the desert they do apparently handle the heat, but the growth habit is TBD as I haven't seen an adult grown in the desert.

It’s about 3 ft from the wall/fence.

im 60 years old so by the time it needs to go.... I’ll already be GONE!

Nah Jeff, I bet you'll see it fruiting. Don't count yourself out!

Worse comes worst, use some straps to pull that sucker away from the house. That's what I keep telling myself.
