Elipsoid Chamaedorea fruits and seeds

Recommended Posts

Phoenikakias

How common is this shape and what factors may cause it? Is is it related in particular to certain spp or is an indication of incomplete pollination or hybridization? I have a couple such fruits from my radicalis and a whole bunch of those from my oblongata. Seeds have passed the finger nail test and endosperm seems solid.
