Grow Light for overwintering Potted Palms?

PalmX

Recommended Posts

I have some Adonidia and Foxtail palms around 6-7 feet that will be coming indoors for the late fall/winter.

What kind of light would be best to keep them growing happy? I'm looking for a simple commercial plug and play option such as this:

Grow Light

Would one of these per palm be good? Or will they need something more substantial?

Thanks

I have a 7 foot foxtail it comes into a room with 15 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. Last year the palm came through with flying colours with no artificial lighting. This year I may build a wooden frame and hang a grow light

Cool. Did the new growth stretch at all compared to being in full sun?

No it didn’t why because the spear took months in these conditions to open the palm slowed down some. Which is good. Because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to keep it so long up here in Canada
