Best Soil PH Test

I have thrown most of my palms directly into the native soil without bothering with a PH test.  I believe most of the species I have aren't super fussy about soil PH, save perhaps for the Bismarckia.  That said - I would like to understand my PH and get it to the optimal place for each of my palms if it's way off.  I have Brahea armata, Bismarckia nobilis, Phoenix canariensis, Chamaerops humilis, Phoenix dactylifera, and will soon have Sabal uresana.

Can anyone recommend the best soil PH test I can do myself without having to send it off to a lab?
