Pure Phoenix rupricola wanted

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am looking for seeds, seedlings or small plants of confirmed pure Phoenix rupricola.  Please pm me if you have any of these available for sale, trade or even as freebies.

I have a number of small palms and other plants for trade.  Most of my palms (and other plants) are tropical species.

Have you looked at Kopsick?  A friend of mine brought back some seeds from there and thought there were other rupicola nearby.  Might be worth a look if you're ever over there.

Second Jon's advise.. Unless it was mislabeled, this is a taller rupicola located between the big Copernicia macroglossa and Dictyosperma album specimen at Kopsick.. Seeds quite a bit,  Just be aware of anyone walking on the path nearby when trying to knock them off..

RPS advertises on a regular basis that they offer habitat collected seed.  Please note that RPS has no warranty about viability.  (See my comments in Palm Grower/Buyer ratings.)

I purchased 100 seeds from RPS 4 years ago. Around 20 strap leaved seedlings have survived (10-12") in community pots. I should have transplanted them a couple of years ago, but I'm waiting until the 1st pinnate leaves develop. I read your comments and have had some poor results with many species the last couple years. My best results have been with Livistona mariae, alfredii and victoriae. Also with Sabal uresana.

Looks beautiful!

If you will pick few extra seeds....

I took the photo a month ago and the seeds weren't ripe yet:(. I am pretty sure that the next time I visit it, the seeds will be removed like it is the case with most palms.

I have some rupical palms that have seeds but I don't know if they are pure.  I tried uploading some pictures but they failed.
