Bill - would you consider this a large or medium sized palm?

I was able to find a small one and just planted it. This has to be my favorite dypsis

Very attractive plant.  The plant I have growing acquired as Dypsis ovobontsira has much narrower leaflets.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised if it's a different Dypsis.  Mine also was not identified as "metallic"; which I should ask if it is a distinctly different species or if the metallic is just a variation of the real Dypsis ovobontsira?

This is my regular ovobonsiara (not metallic)

I have both and they are very different looking palms.  The D. metallic looks like a form of ampasindavae.  Jeff Marcus believes that D. metallic and D. 'vatavovy blue' are one and the same palm.  I also have D 'vatavovy blue'.  It sure looks like D. metallic.

Whatever this palm is finally determined to be, I like everything about it. Robust, colorful, and a fast grower. Just keeps getting better and better.

I acquired it from Bill A. as D. sp. 'metallic'.
