Sticky situation with Jubaeopsis caffra seeds - any hope?

I purchased 5 seeds of it on RPS, thinking I made a steal when they were the last ones in stock! Unfortunately I didn’t realize that also means they’re probably the oldest seeds from the harvest, probably sitting around for months with the embryos left to toast.

I’m aware this is one of the most difficult species to germinate. Considering the additional delay period, are there any unique  ways I could get a better chance at sprouting here?

I did once see a tip on here where you find the largest “eye” of the three on the seed (since it’s related to Cocos) and place it on the bottom underground. 

Oh, and it’s been 10 days since I ordered and it’s still “processing” .

@CodyORB It took a while for my order in Mid-June to get here as well (July 30th).  For coconuts and their relatives, one thing that might be help is to mark the top of the seed with a marker so that when you check them you can always have the seed in the same orientation.  It's supposed to help with coconuts and it does seem to help with Jubaea.

I placed 10 seed in a ziplock bag w/ half perlite & half miracle grow soil for cactus & palms.  After four months, 6 of the 10 sprouted - all in the same week.  They’ve been potted and have pushed their first leaf.

I had a total of 6 out of 11 seeds germinate. The first five were after a few months, but the last one was after about 2 and a half years. So I’d say there is some hope even with an older batch. I put them in bags of sphagnum moss with bottom heat at around 30C (86F).
