Got one, but it's not as fast as the books say.  My V.arecina planted at the same time and about the same size much taller.  Not sure when planted between 15 & 20 years ago.

Nice and interesting photos - thank you very much! I got some V. arecina seedlings (from seed). They grew very fast so far, so I am going to plant them out soon, too. Looking 

forward to their growth - Veitchias are really beautiful!

Anyone on O`ahu that want's seeds of V. arecina I have what seems like dozens and dozens all year long.  They are somewhat of a pain to clean so I don't think I'll be trading off island.
