R&R (remove and replace)

Had a Copernicia berteroana freeze and die this past winter,so a new planting space just opened up,in an already full garden.Decided to go with another species of Copernicia for the replacement.Here's a super blue yarey I grew from seed I collected in habitat,in Cuba.Let's see what it can do,now that it has space to stretch its roots!

Hi aztropic, how you raise Copernicia in the dry and hot Arizona  ()Mesa,Arizona)?

I am in Yuma, have Copernicia Fallaensis seedling going.  Mine are under filter sun and water every  day. Is that good?

That sounds good.I am also growing fallaensis from seed in half day full sun and watered daily over the summer.

Do you fertilizing at this young age? And how old is your plant?

Plant is 4 years old in a 5 gallon pot.Osmocote time release fertilizer is incorporated into the soil each time it is repotted.
