Is anyone out there growing Nypa in a marginal climate?  I have heard they will take light frost, die back, and come back from the trunk (especially if actually in water).  is this true?  Any help most appreciated.

I am curious also. I just planted one this summer here at Leu Gardens in a protected, swampy location.

Has anyone got one to grow, outside of the tropics. Mine died very quickly at 28 deg South, first sub 10 deg C.
