Tahina Project Wrap Up & Update

PALM MOD

Recommended Posts

PalmTalk’s highly successful Tahina Preservation Project will be drawing to a close on July 28, after it appears as if its goal of $5000 will be realized. To date: 67 PalmTalkers, IPS Directors, and Guests have contributed to this worthwhile cause. Exact amounts will be tabulated after expenses, etc. have been accounted for.

These have been difficult times worldwide, so your contributions are especially appreciated, and I’m sure they will be received gratefully by the Villagers protecting Tahina. We will try to post updates and follow the progress this funding allows. However, due to the extreme remoteness of Tahina’s habitat, this will not be easy or frequent. I have been told that this amount of money will go a long way toward helping a small village in Madagascar - and make preserving Tahina a priority for the Villagers.

So, everyone deserves a huge Thank You.

Our hopes are that PalmTalk can continue in some capacity to help preserve this palm, and that this is not the end of a Project, but a beginning.

If you have any un-redeemed coupons for Merchandise or Memberships, now is the time to use them.

DING DING DING!!!

It looks like we are up to 70 people who have contributed, and I would be very surprised if we are not slightly over our goal now.

So, again - thanks a million for supporting Tahina, the Villagers, and PalmTalk's Project.
