Sabinaria magnifica new planting in South Florida

We have planted some really neat plants this year. One of the highlights has been this newly described palm from the Colombian border. If it grows half as well as it has in the nursery, I will be pleased. Hope you all enjoy

Holy cow Andrew, that’s beautiful! Certainly looks vigorous enough to do very well.

Killer Andrew - The one I just put in the ground is quite a ways behind yours. It is nice to see some examples of these guys because it has to be one of the world's most spectacular palms - and not a whole lot of info or photos of its beauty in cultivation.

I hope you will make a point of giving us updates of its progress now that we have a date and baseline of how it looked when you set it free.

How is it doing? Mine is about that size and still living on the lanai. I need the space, so it needs to go in the ground soon, but I'm scared

Naples (inland), FL - technically 10a but more like 9b in the winter :hmm:
