Replace some old irrigation line and cud down dead fronds around a few palms.

Here is Buta yate grown from seed sent from someone in S.A. who's name I have forgotten.  Sorry man.  Thank you again.  Lovely palm.

Second is Sabal rosei.  I can't remember where this came from but both were planted out in 2005 from 1 gallon pots.

Maybe it was Alberto in Brasil (if S.A. = South America).  If S.A. = San Antonio, I'd like to know who it was!

Started another area today

Back in Feb a strong wind blew a huge branch down.  Since then grass grew wild.

Began cutting back the grass so I could get near to the dead branch.  Hmmmm what's that big green in there?

Dang it's a long lost palm.  Tomorrow will show a  lot more of what it might be.  Now it's time for a beer and a cigar.

Any idea what this might be?  Judging from location in the garden I'd guess some kind of American palm whose seed I picked up in some botanical garden back in late '90's.  Petioles have curved claws like a cat all the way along edges.
