If my Coconut palms get large enough, I'll be putting up a few of those "Falling Coconut" signs to warn people where not to step.  While I was checking the different varieties of signs for this purpose, I wanted to see some examples of custom signage people put in their gardens in the beds, paths, or other areas.  Thought about getting this one made for the area under the oak canopy:

I’m working on developing a recreational area in the farm (since it’s pretty much all utilitarian around here) and don’t have the resources to do so yet, but I got my entrance sign built for it!  It’s influences by asian plantation Hawai’i styles, did a stained shou sugi ban type finish on the pegged mortise and tenon construction.  For an amateur, I think this turned out really nice.  Just needs ti plants to stop the nightmarchers.

Because I'm always harping on to visitors about being careful wandering around my place a niece bought me this sign.

While not quite as aggressive as your crocodiles down under, alligators do tend to weed out the gene pool once in a while when folks get careless or confuse foolishness for bravery.

It's a shame we have to put things like this up here, but we do:

We came very close in Jan. 2010.  Only a few more miles further north there was sleet and freezing rain.  A few more miles north after the sleet started, it was snow.  I guess the sign will have to be treated like most Florida drivers treat speed limits - purely as a suggestion.

This digresses a bit, but eons ago, there used to be these signs along the Ohio roadways:

"$1,000 FINE FOR LITTERING"

Colleagues and in shop in Jr. High I made some signs to hang under them which said:

"$2,000 IS EVEN BETTER"

Eventually met a cop who took one down, took it home.

There's a variety of official signs here, some in other languages for tourists. Although some don't take them seriously, I prefer to keep my own humble place in the gene pool. Most of my oversized reptilian visitors are small, but my place also falls within the territory of a 3 metre "boss". I don't argue with the boss.

Our Frillies are a bit more benign than that one, provided you're not a small mouth-sized animal of course.

I've posted a bit more on Frillies on the Garden Visitors forum:
