I was driving on El Camino Real today near the Carlsbad Airpot and saw some interesting palms out of the corner of my eye next to some office buildings. Since the kids were asleep in the car I pulled into this business park area and this is what I found...

Sweet. Rhopalostylis sapida, Dypsis lanceolata (I believe lanceolata, not Pembana) and Chambeyronia Macrocarpa.

Business parks in Ventura don’t have that.

It’s a fairly large complex that has the not so usual palms. Right next to El Camino there’s a bunch of Roystonea Regia and some Caryota visible. There’s only one courtyard area that is a full on palm garden. All the palms are massive too. Gotta be in the 20-30 year old range

Hi Dusty. There is a cafe in that complex called campus cafe that is awesome!. I eat there a few times a week for lunch as its close to work. My understanding is that complex was developed by a member on palm talk. I don't want to say who since I'm not sure they want the publicity. There's a few complexes n Carlsbadiwhere there are lots of rare trees in the landscape design that I believe this member has developed.

Encinitas on a hill 1.5 miles from the ocean.

I love that selection of palms for a business park. They are huge and healthy
