Same plant, two perspectives.  It gets a great deal of heat and full sun in the summer when the sun goes overhead, but the neighbor's house is immediately north and two stories so blocks the winter sun most of the day.  Probably a 3 gallon when I got it and planted it sometime around 2007 or 2008 in Carlsbad.  I know it has suffered some abuse from landscapers and tenants since I moved out of the house, but it keeps growing and most of the time looks pretty good.

Beautiful tree in a beautiful garden @Mangosteen. I want to go meditate there and I don’t even meditate.

Here are my two, purchased from Floribunda in 2015, planted out, probably from 2-gal pots, in February 2017. I forgot scale but top leaves reach up to 7 or 8 feet. They have grown like rockets, but are still too immature to compare morphological characteristics with other species I have (warburgii, harlandii, ponapense, exorrhizum, and even gronophyllum).

Elegant Clinostigma. This one is growing on solid rock, gaining a foothold in cracks and fissures. Looking good though.

Fusca

Just a young one and pretty fast for a seedling.  Not sure of the exact species.

That must be your former garden here in Vista :winkie:.   Looks like it's carved right out of the jungle, which is ready to creep back in as soon as you neglect to hack it back.
