Drat!  Not good news, but am rooting for the offshoot to survive and hopefully eventually thrive.  Btw, I love Gary Gragg's channel, he is a real hoot.

I have recently read and watched YouTubes by Jeff regarding his self created oasis/garden in Modesto. Simply amazing what Jeff has accomplished!

Well at least he tried and that offshoot is hooked up to some serious roots without any competition from the big trunk so I reckon this offshoot will take off at record pace. It’s not done yet.

Millbrook, "Kinjarling" Noongar word meaning "Place of Rain", Rainbow Coast, Western Australia 35S. Warm temperate. Csb Koeppen Climate classification. Cool nights all year round.

NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was seriously one of my favorite, most beautiful palms featured on this forum! Hopefully the baby makes it.

Corpus Christi, TX, near salt water, zone 9b/10a! Except when it isn't and everything gets nuked.

Yes, the main trunk is gone but the “ evil twin” lives on, using the roots from the main trunk, the twin should be trunking again in about 5 years!
