Watered everything before the heat comes

We've been enjoying a rather long spring this year in the central valley. This week, the thermometers are going to hit 100+ (up to 109F). I took these this morning, and soon after got to giving everything a good soak.  Fingers crossed for a good growing season. I expect the Phoenix "not reclinata" as well as the Bismarkia and Syagrus "Abreojos" will be significantly bigger by year's end.

Your yard is looking really nice! It's very well planted. Good luck with the heat! At least on Friday it is supposed to cool of for a few days and then be mild again for a little while. We'll be baking every day in no time, though!

Edit: NICE Jubaeopsis!

Thank you! i really wish i could fast forward 5 years to get some shade and relief from the harsh summer sun. But every season is beautiful in its time no? might as well enjoy the full sun exposure while i have it.

btw, the sabal tamaulipas & brachychiton bidwilii are doing fantastic!

Thank you! I've gone through several iterations of plantings over the last 7 years and i feel really comfortable with the plant selection. Everything seems to grow well in this full sun spot.

Wunderbar! Just spectacular Josh!

Those picture scenes look as if they were taken in the tropics.
