What do yall think of these mukes?

Picked up 5 mules yesterday from a big box store. Interestingly, 3 look like your average mules, one has super long soft fronds that stands straight up and is extremely queen like, the other one intrigues me the most. Its very compact with short and very stiff fronds. Fronds are about half of the length of the "average" mules and a third the length of the long soft queen like mule. My first thought was it might have some Jubaea in it. What say you?

First pic is the three "average" mules, second is the queen like mule and the rest are of the one that has me a bit intrigued.

I happen to like the range of variance you see among mules, with a bias for the long coconut-like fronds, but not to the exclusion of the shorter, beefier forms. Variety is the spice. I'm not savvy enough about plant genetics to even guess about parentage, but I'd say you did well aesthetically.

Which big-box store? How much are they asking for mule palms this size? (I'm hoping I can find them here, too.)

I noticed also a couple of your mules have green boot straps, normally most mules I have seen in person or posted here are purple/brownish.  I also have a couple of green leaf base mules myself but the fibers cover most of that up when they get some size.  Again genetics is a mixing pot, nice selection.  I would also be curious which big box store was carrying these.  Should look pretty awesome in about 4 years, they will grow like rockets.

The one that has you intrigued looks like one of mine. It’s has more orderly and upright fronds that curve at the end, as opposed to a more horizontal and messy look that Mules usually have.

@Manalto I think OP got them from Lowes. My local Lowes had them too just recently, same size (6.5 gallon pots) for $79.

I just realized that the title of this thread says "mukes." My copy editor reflexes are convulsing!

Thanks for the welcome Donald!

Estlander, yes, Lowes,  I wasnt so sure about the rules around here so I played it safe. I did swing by my local nursery and they had some 15 gallon mules that legit were the same size, at best as these 6.5 gallons from Lowes. I always try and support local businesses when I can but they were $195 and thats just too big of a difference.

Manalto, did you get my private message?
