This tree was planted about 2 years ago.  Sandy soil in this area.

I put down palm fertilizer in March but I wonder what could be causing the yellow and brown tips.

I got on this site to seek you all's advice.

You will only see the effects of the fertilizer on newly produced fronds...Looks ok now,should look even better by fall.

Are new fronds ok?  These palms can have brown tips but yours look worse than normal.

The fronds in the very middle are all green only the bigger ones on the side.  I thought if this was just the bottom fronds it was a natural process but it's more than just the bottom ones.

I'd keep it on regular fertilizer like Palmgain and make sure it's getting enough water although lately that shouldn't be the issue.  If me I'd hand dig about 6" down about a foot from trunk and see if  you see healthy white roots and check what the soil moisture is like.
