Leaf Issues on Windmill Palm (Trachycarpus Fortunei)

Hi, I am hoping to get some help diagnosing some issues with our Windmill Palm (Trachycarpus Fortunei). We have had it one year, size 45 gallons and we live in Austin, Tx. It gets direct sun until late evening. I understand now that these do better with some shade, but too late now. I fertilized it for the first time recently with a 12-4-12, being careful not to over apply. Issues are (1) brown tips and (2) brown areas on some of the leaves at the bottom of the leaflets where they attach to the stem. Pics are attached.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!!

Russ

Russ,
First off, Welcome to the forum...  You might re-post this up in the "Discussing Palm Trees Worldwide" section of the forum to get a quicker response.. Lots of great people here should have plenty of answers to share.
