I passed through Lowe's from my grocery trip. They have all the usual suspects: butias, trachycarpus, chamaerops, cycas and of course the pygmys ^_^

Yet none down here in Portland??  Was at Lowes the other day and HomeDepot today.  I know they usually show up around the beginning of May

Vibe been checking every now and then I have seen them as early as late March and late as May. Hoping to grab another larger trachycarpus or maybe get lucky with needles if they ever make it here...ironic that they don't sell the 2 most reliable species of palms here. Drives me nuts!

LOWS 16/17 12F, 17/18 3F, 18/19 7F, 19/20 20F

Palms growing in my garden: Trachycarpus Fortunei, Chamaerops Humilis, Chamaerops Humilis var. Cerifera, Rhapidophyllum Hystrix, Sabal Palmetto

Never seen a needle at any place really.  I do have a source for them now but don't need anymore, I already have 7.  Unless some mules show up I don't need any more big box palms.

It just doesn't make sense being one of the only palms that can survive with zero protection long term here. Plus so many people here like bush type plants. I need to buy 3 or 4 more needles soon but will likely buy more down the road. Already have 5 that have been in the ground nearly 3 years but started as small strap leaf.

Been wanting to buy needles but can’t find them anywhere in the Seattle area. My other palms are doing well but it’s time to add something new after about 6 years of the same ones.
