White Fuzz on Queen Palm

I’m seeing the attached white fuzz on my new Queen Palm. It was on all the Queen Palms at the nursery so I’m assuming it’s harmless but what is it? It wipes right off but should I just leave it? Is it protecting it somehow?3F7902C4-D369-406A-8D25-90B446AF810A.thumb.jpeg.ba4d5ccd359afa1379ed47290949ef09.jpeg

Completely normal! Turns out it means good health. I had the exact same question a while ago that was answered by fellow palmtalkers. No worries! Also is that a 6.5 gallon?

It’s a 15 gallon. Can I remove the fuzz from the trunk or should I just leave it?

It's normal, just a waxy coating on the new fronds.  Some palms produce more or less of that, but queens produce a lot on the base of the petioles.  It's harmless, normal, and is a possible protectant against friction while growing, and later against bugs or disease.  Leave it in place unless you really, really dislike it.  Even then, consider leaving it in place.  :D

I left it, i think it makes it stand out a bit here. Just bought a 3 gallon strap leaf about a month ago and it didnt have this coating, but has been developing.

I use a wash mit that’s damp and take it off to reveal the green behind it.  But its a good sign
