Very nice!

Too my knowledge none in Puerto Rico where they would likely flourish.

Where/what the heck is this "Old Monkey Jungle"? I've never heard of it and I can't live far from you.

I have an idea as to which 'seed batch' it might have been a part of. I photographed its size twin last summer down in Coral Gables.

The old monkey jungle is where old monkeys go to retire.

There is one here at Lyon, which looks pathetic, even though it gets good care.  The one at Hoomaluhia looks amazing. , and I know there are some at Foster, (I have only been there a couple of times) which are doing nicely, but not producing viable seed, at least what I have heard. . Too bad seed is not more readily available because they do really well here.

Pic of one at Lyon, before many of the trees were cleared in area, hopefully the added light will help.

They recently planted a bunch more at Fosters and Hoomaluhia which were sprouting. Unfortunately with COVID I haven’t gotten to check in on them. Hopefully this will lead to two seeding populations on Oahu after a long time

I had a enhanced convo with a large Orange Orangutan there some years ago.

Monkeys moved south...birds moved in

i do hope that which enabled my convo with said monkey did not distort my usually accurate location ability

So the "monkey jungle"... was full of orangutan monkeys? I ask because in 25 latitude (Mexico, west side) there is the State of Sinaloa (bad place, if you ask me) and it has small monkeys roaming around its (True) jungle. Not orangutans..

5 year high 42.2C/108F (07/06/2018)--5 year low 4.6C/40.3F (1/19/2023)--Lowest recent/current winter: 4.6C/40.3F (1/19/2023)

Nice! Kind of surprised that they don't get rid of that date palm next to it to give it some breathing room.
