As I posted earlier this week, I lost my large, mature Sabal palmetto Lisa to lingering damage from Hurricane Irma. But I still have two juvenile Sabal Lisas that I grew from seeds collected from a Ft. Myers city park. I have high hopes they will someday flower and set seeds like my first one. Here they are today.

How many feet of trunk do you think it needs to flower, and how many year will that be?

I am planting 2, three gallons in Texas.

Just a guess: 3-4' of trunk. Mine do/did not shed their boots and I'm no fan of mechanical boot stripping.

Best of luck with yours. I believe Sabal Lisa is a great palm for TX, architecturally fascinating and every bit as tough as standard palmettos.
