Garden After a Tropical Downpour.

Fantastic downpour ( complete with thunder and lightning ) last night and continuing into the wee small hours. I tipped out 68mm ( 2 and 3/4") and it was sorely needed after a very poor wet season for 2019-2020. The garden always looks good after a nice refreshing drop of the wet stuff. Here's a few pics of a cool overcast tropical morning.

Beautiful garden mate, love the old boat doubling as a pond, great idea!

Was my fathers old tinny.... I dragged it home 4000klm after he passed. And I'm not as brave as I was 40 years ago, I figured it out nowadays the crocodiles are bigger than the boat, so this was the next best use for it.

Isn’t that great! I love being in the garden after rain. Especially a down pour. Always gives it more of a jungle feel.

Very lush looking! We are about to start our rainy season soon . It is so dry ! We have had just one light shower in four months.

I have several wells and water abundantly, but it does not compare to a good soaking rain.

So the Northern Monsoon has finally fired up with a fantastic 6" or 7" of rain here at home in the last 24 hours. Little bit of local flash flooding, nothing the garden can't handle...:D

I completely agree, the gardens always look best after a good soaking by Mother Nature! Great photos of a nice jungle garden! Thanks for sharing.

And today it is as though someone has turned the tap off. Bright sunshine and a burning hot sun. Forecast hot and dry for the next week with a low pressure system forming in the Gulf and moving East away from the Territory into Queensland. This scenario almost always drags our rain away from the north coasts and gives FNQ ( far North Queensland ) a bit of a drink.
