As of right now, this is the only Phoenix roebelenii that I have seen on Hilton Head. I’ve noticed that this palm has been growing here for about a decade.

I've seen that one before. There are a few other smaller ones I saw last time I was there, but i can't remeber where.  Did you see the tall queen palm at the Salty Dog Cafe?

Update: The robelenii in the first pic seems to have been replaced by some type of banana. I’m not sure if it died or was just replaced

But I found this beauty on HHI yesterday, which seems pretty old and healthy

Do you have it planted in a strong microclimate?
this might be the last straw and I’ll give one a go in 9a

It’s planted south facing between my greenhouse and a fence so I assume that helps keep it a bit warmer
