Seen at Disneyland. Unfortunately I don’t have a pic of the full plant. Thanks!

Kwanzan perhaps? The foliage looks unusual to me.

Was thinking Kwanzan initially but, from what i remember when i sold them ( back in San Jose ), Kwanzan is a double-flowered variety..  Spent some time looking over pictures, but w/ so many different varieties, couldn't come up w/ an exact match.. Even extended the search to include other flowering versions of standard fruit trees ( Almond, Peach, Plum, Nectarine.. Sold all of those back in San Jo' also ) just in case but comes closest to one of the Cherries..  Did notice that there are many more Cherry Festivals around Southern Cal. than i'd imagined though..

You might e-mail a picture to someone at Dave Wilson Nursery, Maybe Monrovia? ..I know they sold/ still offer several varieties and see what they think..

At first glance I thought it was a 'Pride of India' tree ( Lagerstroemia speciosa ), but the flowers are a bit different.
