Hi Colin !

I just wanted an information : At about what stage or age the Areca macrocalyx "red" shows the red crownshaft ?

I have some in pot wich are  about six feet tall, no trunk yet and no red crowshaft yet ...

Some show red, some never do. Iʻve got one that is all green and no red what so ever( four feet of brown trunk) . Got mine as one gallons from floribunda, all

had a visable red ring at that young stage, at the soil level. Not sure where I got the green one from, it also has never produced a flower.  The intensity of the 

red also varies, not sure if it is a temperature thing, or nutrition.
