In one picture near the bottom of the first page, I saw a different palm in the background.  It sort of looks like an Attalea, any idea what this one is?

An Attelea in Madagascar ?? :blink2:

No, we don't see quite well but it's a ravenala i think

It's huge like an Attalea, with long straight petioles and slightly drooping leaflets.  That's what made me think Attalea, like a Phalerata or something similar.  But I was looking through pictures on Palmpedia and it seems similar to Ravenea Robustior or Krociana.  There's a small Krociana at Leu Gardens here in Orlando, but it'll be years before it gets that huge...if it survives the winters!

That is what i call a huge Ravenea krociana ;-)
