Nice little palm. I'm trying it from seeds. Do you have H. dransfieldii? One of my few Hydriastele successes and a wonderful palm.

i don't have H. dransfieldii. Please share your H. dransfieldii pics 

i love  Hydriastele species specially small ones,  i heard Hydriastele are hard  to germinate species.

I just got longspatha and you can see my drandsfield in back. I am starting to love the bigger hydriastele.  They grow good in my garden

My H. dransfieldii grew too tall for my bird cage so I planted it deep in my back yard jungle where it is going into its 3rd winter outdoors. The following photos date back to 2011& 2012when it was still in its pot. Grew well, perhaps because of its leathery leaves.

It is hanging out deep in my jungle because sun burns its leaves so it is hard to photograph. It is probably 8' tall. It flowered this past summer but didn't set seeds.
