Paul & Kris - It's good to be back. The last two months have really been hard, and there's still a warble or two, but hopefully it'll be clear palm weather from here on. :)

Many thanks Scott - great pics!

I particularly liked those las designs by the Baatak people.

I have a small summerhouse with hand carved Polynesian masks and two "wine pourers" which are hollowed out heads made of some kind of hardwood.

Luckily there is a great artist (Garry Bevan) only a mile away who has reproduced the Sistine Chapel to two thirds scale on the ceiling of a local church.

Coach tours galore and all proceeds to charitable causes and not the actual church.

The guy did not use oils as did Michaelangelo (shepherds boy made good!) but used acrylics which as he pointed out half jokingly would last longer than oil paint.

True.

I have thought of getting him to do my summerhouse and even my lounge ceiling with Sue and I as Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Wow!

Now I shall have to start saving seriously - forv once.

While Scott is a great guy and all that, it's Paul that made the trip and took the pix. I think the thanks should go to Paul!   :)
