Dear Paul  :)

it seems the locals are very friendly towards tourist ! and the

place with lush greenery is making my head spin by its buety.

and in these pictures what is the long worn kind of things that the local/native have in a bowl and what are they doing with it ? hope to get some light on those questions.

And where is Scotty ?

So what the hell is that on the dashboard???

The photo of you "chillin" is the perfect David Hockney subject, especially with the reflection on your lenses. Wish I were a better painter...

And if you bought any "excess" fabrics from "Bali Linens & Things" I'd be very interested.  Daughter's birthday is coming...

Nice seeing you and Enj today...

kim it was a lovely surprise to see you & yer daughter at jmusic!we certainly missed yer erudite companionship at the last PRA.

the thing on the dashboard was an offering to the gods.its made out of a new palm spear & contains mostly flowers but sometimes rice, also.when they use tuberose flowers you are nearly knocked over by the aroma when you enter the vehicle.

i'm going to "google"hockney now...

Paul, thanks for the great travelouge.  I must now add Bali on the list of places I would like to visit.  Wish I could score staying at that private villa with the amazing views.  My internet service was down for the last three weeks, so I was able to enjoy multiple additions.  Nice to know what pohonkelapa means now.  If you have photos of the carvings/jewelry please include.  That might be just the incentive my wife needs to visit Bali.  Thanks again.

its a welcome change to see local beauties...& lots of colours  :)

but the calf's head placed for the religious cermoney was like

get the air ballons all busted or like having a flat tyre. :(

i felt pain seeing that still ! how much long time will it take people to realise that god wants us not our offerings ?all

things are HIS creation & does belongs to him and why

people show his things to HIM.we too have lots of things like this happening here in my place !
