Thanks for the tour. That stonework in post 17 is giving me some ideas. That Ravenala multi in post 5 kicks a$$ also. Looks like a relaxing trip spent avoiding crowds. (crowds of palms okay though)

b.frond i had a feeling someone would ask me about that. :D the sun is very oppressive & i don't want my shiny ol' head burned is the simple answer.

STEVE IN SO CAL

Paul...is that a multi trunk Ravanela in post #8...?

steve..i believe it to be a ravenala.it is the same one that appears in the third pic of post #5.i don't know whether it is a multi-trunked specimen(if that is even possible)or 3 individuals planted close.

could i be any more vague?the answer, sadly,is no.

I can't get over how short you look in post #13.  And as far as palms being numbered, I want to know what that cool thing is Enjula has painted on her palm.  Is that henna?

kim the reason i look so short is a law of physics called

"refraction",maybe you've heard of it. :D

yes, that is henna.shes really into it & makes her own designs.you are very observant.

Damn you Paul!  BTW, Padang food is supposed to be eaten without utensils (that is what the stainless bowl of water is for).

IMGP3196.jpg

padang food is super-spicy.we ate at this restaurant 3 days in a row.

Paul, I totally enjoy your Bali trip photos.  Would like to stop over to spend some time shopping for stonework etc.  I love the outdoor shower in one of your posts.  Really fantastic.  Will definitely be stealing as many ideas as I can.  Awesome.  Thanks again.

Robert

Those grooves on the side are conveniently foot-shaped! Squating like that would seriously cut into my reading time.

In addition to not being able to sit down, I don't see a handle for flushing, or a roll of TP in the photo.

Paul,

the vine in post #33 looks like a syngonium to me. The adult leaves look very different from when they are young & they lose their coloration/variagation as well.

Paul: While you were in Bali, I was in Branson. Here's a shot of everyone at Silver Dollar City piling into the giftshop when a major thunderstorm hit. I thought you'd appreciate the expressions on each face as well as the irony of the Raggedy Ann dolls in the background.

Dear Paul  :)

that sacred banyan tree of religious belief we have it here even in our place !and what was missing is a neem tree beside it along with lord ganesh statue...

the outdoor garden with roman_greek styled staues with

fern trees around should have been one heaven of ambience !

thanks for the stills and as usuall want to see more... :D

love,

Kris  :)
