Now you are really making me homesick. Have to make a point of staying in Bali next time we go home. Time to hunt for cheap tickets, although this close to christmas, I don't think so.

Everything is so green back home. Darwin is just not the same, although with the rain we have been getting, everything starts to green up.

Regards, Ari :)

So, for someone who has never traveled to that part of the world, tell the rest of us how to got about setting a trip to Bali.  The must sees, the must avoids, dietary tips and traps, travel times, best to go, cheapest to go, that kind of stuff.  Take the intimidation out of it for someone anticipating their first trip as a plant lover seaking paradise.

In my post I sometimes express "my" opinion. Warning, it may differ from "your" opinion. If so, please do not feel insulted, just state your own if you wish. I haven't been back to Bali since this trip! It's nice to see this thread is still here. I haven't seen all the photos that I took on this thread for a long time because they aren't on my computer. Thought I'd share my pics with the newer people!

Hi Angela,

Is this before or after you got your beautiful name, Putu Enjula?

Karolyn, it was after. A lot of Balinese people have trouble pronouncing my name. Someone wrote my name down as "Enjula" so I decided to go by that.... I was tired of seeing them struggle to say my name! I just thought it would be easier for everyone! Some of my Indonesian friends know me as ANGELAGILA because angeilagila2 has been my email address name for over ten years!
