Visit to England

Back from a trip to the area of England where I spent most of my childhood: Dedham Vale in East Anglia.

I was surprised to see a very healthy and pretty large Jubaea growing in Castle Park, Colchester:

I also made a drone video over the River Stour, around the village of Dedham. This area marking the boundary between Essex and Suffolk was captured by the great 19th Century painter John Constable, a couple of the drone shots are from similar angles that he had painted 200 years ago.

Thanks for the memories. I went to college in Colchester (Sheepen Road) in 1981. I've also spent more than one lazy Sunday afternoon at Dedham Vale, rowing on the water. The Jubaea will look quite something in decades to come.

When will the UK wake up to the fact that our climate can endure more than just Windmill palms?
