Been sitting on this guy for a while have a few more sitting in pots but I figured it was time. This plant was a small seedling when I got it 2 years ago it has proven to be a solid grower for me even in 121 degree full sun in a pot . Can’t wait to see this guy explode

Copernicia gigas this guy is bigger than he looks was in a 15 gallon it was stretched now it is thickening up

Yes, it will be interesting to watch yours grow.  You have significantly more heat than down here.  I have the Copernicia baileyana x hospita hybrid  (aka Copernicia x textilis).  While a consistent grower in my full sun most of the year, only slowing during the winter, its not a rocket ship.  A December 2015 photo compared to June 2019, so 3 1/2 years growth shown below.  Perhaps with the more consistent heat you will get faster growth!
