Phoenix roebellini - cold damage or sunburn ?

I put my 4 cluster of roebellini out in the middle of May. We had some nights of 5c daytimes were cooler for a while. Maybe 15c now obviously has warmed up. Now I didn’t really acclimate the palms to sun either. The hanger is. During the first few weeks we had a lot of cloudy days and rain so full sun didn’t happen every day. What do you think? It was perfectly green before I put it outside.

its a tough palm I’m not worried about it making it. Just want to avoid this in the future

My guess would be sunburn.  I had a Livistona chinensis do the same thing even though it was only in part sun.  The new fronds are coming out nice and green now that it's acclimated.

Ok wasn’t sure with this species. But those few weeks did a lot of damage pretty quickly and this cluster has been a fav with myself and my daughter. I just got too impatient and put it out too fast. We have 16 hours of daylight as well

Definitely sunburn. They’ll acclimate quickly. As brutal as this sounds, most of my palms I just tuck into where I want them. Some burn and suffer for the first season, but by the next season (usually) they’re all acclimated and fine.
