Mule palm seeds

Hi all,

As it's nearly impossible  to get plants into Germany  I'm looking for fresh seeds of this palm. As well for other crosses of Butia, Jubaea and Syagrus.

Can someone help me.

Palmy regards

Eckhard

I have only seen them for sale on pennyspalms.com ; I have never purchased from here and can not vouch for the site.

Its my understanding mules have a fairly low germination rate compares to the parent palms. This could be why they are not as available as seeds..?

Mule palms are for the most part sterile, hence the name. Folks that go through the trouble of creating the mule palm by performing the cross are usually in the business of selling palms so don't often sell seeds.  There is also the chance that the cross doesn't take and you don't have mule seeds. A bummer for both parties. Some of the other crosses mentioned by the OP can produce F2 offspring, Such as BxJ. From time to time you will see seeds available.
