Anyone else seeing these around town?

Was'nt sure where to post this exactly. These are becoming quite popular at Kure/Carolina Beach, NC. I find them a bit gaudy, but to each his own I suppose.

They have a few at Ft. Myers Beach of all places. I guess tacky and beaches go together.

I guess you can consider these "cold hardy".  Haven't seen anything like this planted at a residence (thankfully) but have seen something similar in commercial "plantings" usually accompanied with colored lights.

Not seen those before and I hope I never do again.

I have seen the ones that are very realistic but come with a multithousand dollar price tag.

I have seen them as pine trees in New England. Apparently they come in all flavors...

Yes, the are Wacky Tacky to most but I actually like them. :P In a desert garden, they would be cool with lots of barrel cactus around them in a bed of gravel. Add some uplighting and it might be cool at night.

There is a house not far from me that has two obviously fake banana plants potted on each side of the garage door. It’s especially weird since real banana plants are everywhere here.
