I wish my a. Macrocalyx looked that good. I live on the hilo side at about 1,500 elevation and have the hardest time . Yours look amazing

Don't fret John - I'm at 2200 ft. Sometimes the crown shaft is much redder than others. Sometimes I think it's going green. This is one of the better ones. Still haven't figured out any rhyme or reason.

Man I believe it! Talking with Hilo Jason about everything he is planting that I wish I could grow and the fact it's warm year round makes things faster also.  From what I was hearing recently it has been dryer than usual which is a problem with no irrigation but established palms should be fine.

Hesperia,Southern CA (High Desert area). Zone 8b

Elevation; about 3600 ft.

Lowest temp. I can expect each year 19/20*f lowest since I've been growing palms *13(2007) Hottest temp. Each year *106
